The Imperial Garden restaurant (west on University Ave, not the one by East Towne mall) stocks gluten-free soy sauce and will make virtually any dish gluten-free on request. The food is fantastic and the waitress knew exactly what I was talking about when I asked for gluten-free. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the info! We are going to Madison for a soccer tournament Sept. 17 & 18. This will be a great place for us to go!

Thanks a bunch, Frenchiemama........only two days to go and I am on vacation for 10 days and on my way to visit the loved ones in Southern Wisconsin. I have had a total of 11 days off all summer and I am ragged. What a treat it will be to try Imperial Garden as my friend and I LOVE that type of food. Thanks for the heads up again. I would love to meet you sometime. Going to check out Silly Yak, and of course, go to Whole Foods. Have a great semester at school and keep on staying healthy.

Thanks Barbara! I thought of you when I was eating there. I've always loved that restaurant anyway (by far my fave chinese place of all time) and I was thrilled! They say right on the menu that special dietary requests are carefully accomdated, and they aren't kidding.

Decided to come over here and see if you had replied. Thanks for saying you were thinking of me. I am so excited about going to Madison and all over Southern Wisconsin. Tomorrow I will be leaving. I looked over here to remind myself of the name and locations of Imperial Gardens. Barbara

Hey Barbara, if you come back and read this.... if you hop on University and take it west into Middleton you can't miss Imperial Garden. It's huge.

They’re a Canadian brand so I’d assume you’d be able to buy from the US. You can buy them directly from their website but also on iHerb.  Hope your daughter feels better soon.

Thanks for the recommendation. I see it’s an Australian brand. Wonder if we can buy it here I the US?

Hi,  After months of suspecting everything being gluten contaminated, I think it’s histamine intolerance mimicking some glutening symptoms. The biggest thing that settled it was my daughter’s neurological reaction fermented foods and probiotics general. I’ve tried this twice within a gap of six months. I do recognize now in addition to that avocado, spinach, oranges, and tomatoes absolutely make things worse.  I see a lot of ppl here having tested their DAO levels via blood test, but I can’t seem to get an allergist to even recognize the condition, let alone to test for it. Additionally, I was wondering if there was any correlation between nutritional deficiency and histamine intolerance, and if any of you have seen reduction in histamine issues post supplementing.  Thank you.

About a month ago I had a blood panel done for digestive issues and tested weak positive for celiac. My tTG IgG was a 6 with the range being 0-5 negative, 6-9 weak positive and 9+ positive(I have an IgA deficiency so they measured with IgG). Afterwards my doctor requested I have an endoscopy with a biopsy done and received results with symptoms in my small intestine such as DUODENAL MUCOSA WITH MODERATE VILLOUS BLUNTING, MODERATE CRYPT HYPERPLASIA AND INCREASED INTRAEPITHELIAL LYMPHOCYTES (MODERATE MUCOSAL LESION, and a final note stating "The findings are consistent with celiac disease in the proper clinical setting. Correlation with serological studies is recommended". I got these results 3 days after testing before my doctor contacted me and cut out gluten seeing I likely have celiac and feel much much better. However, I just met with my doctor and they informed I must get another celiac blood test done to confirm my diagnosis because my original blood test is so weak, despite the fact that my endoscopy showed strong indication of celiac, therefore I must reintroduce gluten into my diet and start feeling horrible again. And I am curious on whether or not this is a typical diagnosis route and if I should consider reintroducing gluten again to ensure or just assume I have celiac. And will I still be able to get an official diagnosis without another positive blood test and reintroduction of gluten?

Fascinating. No ingredient in Dr. Reddy's Sumatriptan SUCC 100 mg has gluten, or should have gluten. But the doctor said ask the pharmacist. The pharmacist said call the manufacturer. And the manufacturer said "it contains gluten."
