Good news. And some average news.

I finally had my blood work done. All micros, except iron, are well in the upper ranges of normal. Woot! I guess that means intestines are healing.  Fatigue still plagues me, though. Not as much as it used to, but I feel only 25% better.  The average news is my ALT and AST levels are sitting just above the upper range of normal. I have to now have the emotional calmness to investigate what is causing this. It feels too much to deal with, but I suppose I need to face it.  I am yet

Update April 2020

Well, well! It has been a while. I needed time away from social media and only inching back towards the more sensible ones now. I hope you are all well and keeping sane in these very ... unique times.  I decided to try the carnivore diet. I had been listening to Drs Ted Naiman and Paul Saladino, and began looking at what the Armstrong Sisters were up to. This led me to the Paleomedicina group and their seeming successes with a PKD lifestyle (paleolithic ketogentic diet). Given how things ar

Actually in the hospital now getting a gastric emptying test done, I brought some Julian Bakery Bread since they want me to eat bread with the eggs. The cooked it all in the microwave in disposable containers so I have no worry about getting gluten or any other allergen in the foods. So far the first 2 x-ray have shown the food not to have moved...sorta expected this without digestive enzymes or flushing it with liquid (only allowed 4oz of water). More Celiac Resources

Do you know about Open Original Shared Link about the path to his celiac disease.  My knowledge of the National Celiac Organization was limited until the past few years when I was very restricted with the cousin to T.B. - M.A.C. and I found myself spending more hours researching my nursing degree books (out-dated of course) and all the new information regarding celiac disease from throughout the known world. Febuary 2020

So life has been crazy and busy, I got a new truck, a retired ambulance to be honest and have been working on modifications to work as a RV and a work truck. Ran into a bunch of issues the previous owner forgot to mention about the engine...Bad A/C Compressor, Fuel filters way past change time, fuel leak (leaking on top of engine...yes I am driving it with this), misfires on 2 cylinders and low fuel flow (this is built on a diesel 2011 Ford F350- base) The generator has me concerned also, it wor

January 2020

So starting off the new year with a bit of a big investment using all my savings. Due to health issues being worse now traveling has become a joke, like removing the second row seating from my vehicle and replacing it with a portable toilet with chemical disposal tank....yeah I had to. So this topped with having to rent a hotel every time I want to stay out late has made me invest in a new vehicle with bathroom, sink, bed, and kitchen area. Initially I was thinking a small RV like a Class B wh

These days...

I left off my last blog entry about to see my GP for my ongoing lethargy issues. My iron stores are now in the normal range (yay!) and my fasting blood glucose is 5.4. She left me with the advice to allow time to heal things and that there is nothing she can find that is wrong with me.  Resting my entire weekend, every weekend, away is not what I call living. I am literally living to work, eat and sleep. I am finding it very difficult to reconcile this being my life for the immediate future

Introduce myself

G'day to you. Nice to see you here. I'm Keight; a middle aged woman from Australia. I am a truck mechanic by trade and I have two teen sons, who are the light of my life.  As a baby, I had massive intestinal issues and could not hold down the baby formulas on the market at that time. Eventually, I was given a mix of evaporated milk and vitamin drops. I have had a life long problem with severe constipation, always thrived on meats, fruit and veg, had stomach cramps with milk and yoghurt, and
