My husband was diagnosed about two-three years ago with Celiac disease. Summer Slump :(

The Company That Could Care Less...

Liscense Plates And Mother In Laws!

Gluten Filled Tuesdays!

Ah Tuesday...the day of the week that my husband and kids look forward to the most. Why, you may ask? Easy, it is what my son calls their "Gluten Filled Tuesday". This is the day of the week that the three of them go out and eat whatever they want for dinner and do not have to worry if it is safe for me, or if there is anything on the menu I can eat, and to indulge in the things that we just don't get at home anymore.   For instance, last week it was deep dish pizza. Ugh! Contamination.

Cinnamon Rolls

Celiac Specialties sent me the cinnamon rolls finally and they are SPECTACULAR!! SOOO delicious! The tortillas (gluten-free option for flour tortillas) are ok, but defeat the point of a flour tortilla since they don't bend very easily...I made it into a quesadilla, but folding it into a burrito would probably be impossible. Newbie - Another One

Hi there everyone.   As titled, I'm totally new to this and reading more and more entries and starting to feel panicked. I've been trying to go gluten free for two months and have not found much improvement other than that my condition is now manageable - ie: I can go back to work and be with friends. wow, I'm losing weight finally! I'm down to 166 from a prednisone high of 186. I want 40 more at least.   We bought a camper The day after we bought it we took it out for a test run. Very successful. It's so nice because we can vacation and I can cook and control the food now. DH still goes out and gets his bread and claims a little won't hurt him. Back Again

Good Eats

They took second helpings! The Japanese Rice Coconut Pudding turned out fine. It looked and tasted like oatmeal with cinnamon in it. I guess, since oatmeal isn't something we get to eat, it was a happy coincidence. Although I did read about some type of oat that has a low enough level of gluten.... Tom's Party is over, I'm glad and it seemed to go ok? Everyone liked it I was good too at the dinner, I didnt have time to eat anything lol BUt Some of the respones I received from my test results here and somewhere else, t hey said that I wasnt gluten-free, So they made me think I was not GS and I had some bagels and a hero, now I am sooo sick and in pain. Traveling Again

*Drum roll* Did she make a long weekend trip in Washington D.C. without getting glutened?NO. Positives: there was a WHOLE FOODS where they had an omelette lady we took advantage of for breakfast and we bought stuff for picnicking! I ate at Joe Theisman's restaurant (salad and bunless roast beef) and it was FANTASTIC. So, we ate there the next night, and...glutened! Ok

I can't beleive how fist I havea reaction now!~!! Without thinking at a after school party I grabed some pretzels and ate them, with in the hour i was sick, rash on top of head and other S+S I still dont feel right Came home to a letter from my mamogram place, got really scared cause they dont send one usually, and I was scared to open it, But its ok, everything is ok Now the other test result and I wont find out about that till Monday Been a crappy week here Hope things get better s
