Yup, there again goes my dad ruining my day. Yesterday because of him I had an asthma attack (from anxiety attack). Today out of nowhere he starts yelling at me for having a sore throat. OK I am sick and I have a sore throat, is it my fault that I have no voice?? And then he proceeds to tell me that I am an embarassment to the family. what the hell already, this isnt fair. he doesnt know what he is talking about and parents are not supposed to make your stressful life worse they are supposed toNyc - No Postcards Wish You Were Here
After reading Lindylynns blog about eating in NYC, I wish we had retired there. Of course I hate the humidity, but the eating out sounds great. Coulter has talked about the same things in the dining section. NYC also has wonderful plays to go to. I love the size of the theaters - small. I am also like Mosaics' blog, after you tell about the illness what do you write about. So, I will do what she did and tell you a little about me.I have been married to a wonderful man (really he is) for 42July 28, 2005
last couple of days have been good gluten-free-wise. ra has been awful. i've done some walking, that's always good. ds liked the gluten-free bread, I thought it was too heavy. we both liked the flavor of the pancakes but again, it was too heavy for me. I think I would prefer to do without the substitutes, ds would like them again.very tired this morning. ds worked the late shift so we didn't get home until 11:00 or so, I couldn't get to sleep until after 1:00. stomach has been feeling betAlcoholic Beverages

Today's topic is restaurants. Really good ones, not just the chain places like Outback. I used to love eating out at fine restaurants (OK, and on our yearly road trip from NY to Louisiana to visit my husband's family, it was always Cracker Barrell). So where does a Celiac eat? On road trips now, the easiest thing is to scout out the nearest Outback or Boston Market. And I pack a cooler with cottage cheese, carrots, apples, hummus, tortilla chips, grapes, rice crackers and my favorite MiBeverages

yeah I can say not really a fan of having these blogs visible to all, gonna have to be careful about what I say on here. Not that I dont love anyone on these boards, but at least on LiveJournal I usually only allow those on my friends lists to see my entries and sometimes not even that. So hmm Ah well I can just copy and paste from there into here and then delete which things I do not want publicly viewed hereGlutened For The Second Time
Yesterday, I was hungry and I went to the cupboard. I noticed that we had Swoops--those chocolate Pringles-like things. The regular Reeses ones with milk chocolate are OK, so I falsely assumed that these would be--and then decided to check the label after eating FIVE. Way at the bottom of the list, after 'defatted peanuts' was WHEAT FLOUR. There is a hole in my intestine, ladies and gentleman.Eh...Rating My Blog
So what's up with that? Who wants to rate someone else's blog? What are we supposed to do...indicate that someone's blog is terrible? Or compare it to everyone else's blog and indicate that one is better than all the others? If you ask me, that feature should disappear. In fact, I'm on a mission to find out how to get it off my blog.5 Am Meanderings
My body and mind are not in agreement on what we should be doing right now. My body wants to sleep but my mind is quite active. I've made a "To do" list but it won't be still... So blogging is a good solution. And reading yours. All of us with this crucial part of our lives (eating) in common. Tomorrow the 17-year old French student my husband and I have been hosting for the last three weeks as part of the World Exchange program goes home. It has been lovely having her, and a learning eSo Much For Blogging
I must lead a pretty dull life. I blogged for two days and ran out of things to say. I told my celiac story, so maybe I'll tell a little about my life...well my blog is supposed to be all about me, right? I'm a 45 year old married SAHM of two children...21 y.o. daughter and 16 y.o. son and I'm a Christian. I'm also an artist and I love to read. My husband is an electrical engineer and has spent most of his career life working with computer companies. About three yrs. ago heI Had Beer! (gluten Free Of Course!
Oh heaven, heaven, heaven! I've been gluten free since January 15, 2005 (over 6 months!) and this weekend I had beer for the first time in over a year. I had stopped drinking beer last summer because every time I had it, I would have two and feel hungover for the equivalent amount of days. At this point, I had no idea that I had Celiac's. I just knew that beer made me very, very ill. This weekend my husband Kurt and I went to Vermont and lo and behold- we walked into the gheneral store in WoodstLength Of Recovery And Today's Doctor Visit
I was going to address my recovery time, after the diagnosis. But, yesterday was a bad time for me emotionally, because of the doctor appointment today. My recovery is still ongoing after being diagnosed early February of 2004. As soon as I went gluten-free, I noticed a mark improvment right away and thought it would keep going at that pace. It did not. They said I would gain some of my weight back and I did not. I am still the size I was when I was diagnosed. I am probably at 50 % or soWelcome To My World
I haven't really thought this through, so I'll just plunge in. I was born under the sign of Airies, and that's the way we operate First, I'll tell you that I'm happy to be a Celiac. At first I was totally dismayed in disbelief. My Dr. was more surprised that I was. I figure he was expecting to find a malignancy, and he told me he was astounded to discover the Celiac Sprue through the biopsy.I've been gluten free since June 16th (2005) and I must be doing something right because I am feeling S-

This one page has all the information your friend needs.

And, if he's on Instagram, he might like to follow this young lady who's recently managed to get into drug-free remission by using helminths, after 13 very challenging years with Crohn's.

FWIW, I have a friend who has Crohn's Disease, and had surgery for it when he was younger, but doesn't want to take some of the prescription medications to help him deal with ongoing symptoms. I told him to look into hookworms treatment.
