A Brief Intro

My blog here is probably going to be random, as I have a personal blog elsewhere and I also run a blog networking site (unrelated to Celiac)

For now, my blog is going to be jots of this and jots of that - info, random venting, progress (or lackthereof)

As of today, July 10 2008, I have been actively "sick" for almost 2 years with a Mystery Diagnosis of sorts

Although I've had GI problems since I was very young, symptoms were managed with tablespoons of mineral oil (for the "big C") and Immodium (for the "big D")

I struggled with Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa for 12 years, during which I surely did far more damage to my body that I am aware of. I have been recovered for 3 years or so (interesting that I've been "sick" for 2 of those years, coincidence?) At first, I took my poor health as a "normal part of recovery" but eventually it became obvious it was anything but normal.

A Laundry list of symptoms and countless days of pain and exhaustion later the diagnoses began: ADD/ADHD & "Pre-Diabetes" in 2006, TMJD in 2007, Bilateral Chondromalacia & Tendonitis, IBS, Dysphagia, Hashimotos Thyroiditis, and intestinal parisitism in 2008. We're exploring further testing for food allergies including gluten, and other autoimmune problems such as Behcet
