First Week Gluten Free

I have been gluten free for a week. I was seriously torn with going gluten free, because I hadn't had a conclusive diagnosis that requires me to be off gluten. I was worried about feeling deprived, about feeling left out, about feeling.... uncomfortable with changing everything

Yet, I am dumfounded, this is easier than I thought it would be. No, not for the fact that it's "easy" but for the fact that even though I feel better, the change is quite different, and even though it's far from good, it's far from where it was. That is amazing. I am also dumfounded because I hardly miss glutenous foods at all. Infact, at times, the thought of eating glutenated foods is a turn off. Seriously, it's almost like my mind and body know that it makes me sick, and I am not supposed to feel bad when I eat, so my desire to eat them is almost nil. That is also amazing.

In the 7 short days I have been gluten free, my life has changed for the better. Thus far, the pros have far outweighed any cons :)

Granted, there's a long way to go to get to where I want to be, but atleast now - finally, things are moving in the right direction. That is something I have been waiting for, for far too long.
