Freezer Woes

Guest

Going through our huge freezer this weekend...cleaning out all the stuff that I can't eat...We donated 6 Sara Lee pies and 7 frozen pizzas, bags of rolls and biscuits, 2 loafs of bannana bread to our starving college student friends. The corned beefs that I bought at Safeway are gluten free! So tomorrow night is corned beef night. Stick it in the crock pot in the morning, get back from work and it's done!Bar-s products are almost all gluten-free, just not some of the Deli meats....those cheap hotdogs and all the bacon that I have frozen are a-okay. Tums are NOT a-okay, got sick when I took one..damn, I have a lifetime supply, at least I bought them on sale. <_< Safeway's number to ask about ANY of their ingredients: 1-888-Safeway. Easy enough.Alos learned that Mug Rootbeer is gluten-free, thank you God! I thought I was doomed to Sprite for the rest of my days (don't drink caffiene). It was an experimental weekend: gluten-free bread came out alright, a little crumbly..the brownies turned out awesome! I froze those and stuck them in my now-almost-empty freezer, sigh...

Tums are not okay???? How did I miss that? I've been using them without issue for a year. :(

Yeah, I called the tums people and they said that they could not guarantee that there weren't trace ammounts of gluten in them.
