6 - Busy Week, Busier Weekend

Saturday morning. I have a long day ahead of me. I'm going back down to Chattanooga where my children are to spend some time with them. My daughter and her fiance are staying with my youngest son for the week.

We are all supposed to go over to my daughter-in-law's (youngest son's wife) family for a cook out tonight. Heh. . .it's supposed to be raining today/tonight, so I don't know how that will turn out. I had to kick myself in the brain to remember that I need to prepare something to take with. I won't be able to eat there and get away with it, I'm sure. (Southern cooking, and all. Pft.)

Last night my lips woke me up itching like crazy. Heh. . .think I better take some benadryl around with me for a couple of days until I can figure out what caused it. Maybe the peanuts I had last night. I don't know. Hope not.

This has been a very busy week - but I only got glutted once. (yay!) Progress. . . I'll still be glad when I have my kitchen converted. I won't be so afraid to eat.

I've talked to all three of my kids about Celiac disease. I want to take some literature down with me to give to them. So far all three want to put their heads in the sand about it. Casey, my eldest son is the only one willing to test for it. He was suprised when I told him the symptoms - and thought it was like his lactose intolerance. . .told him it's a little more complciated than that. Jason, the one that has the most 'bathroom' issues - simply said, 'not me' and that was that.

Sigh. You can lead a horse to water. . .

I feel so much better. I can't believe how much better I feel.

I received an email from the pastor of my church - then haven't heard from him all week. I don't know if it's something he wants to do anything about or not. I want to send him some links both on Celiac disease and on the different choices for the host. I offered to pay for them.

Sigh.

Well, we'll see. There's a lot of information to absorb. Patience.

Jeans into the wash, Jess to the dog kennel for today, then we're on our way.
