Not Happy

Ok obviously I am not sure what I am doing as of yet.

But I have got to vent. I went to a doctor's appointment this morning. Obviously this doctor did not know the first thing about celiac disease.

This doctor just sat and looked at me as if I had totally lost.

He had the nerve to tell me that I had made all of this up in my head. This was after the fact that I told him I was diagnosed with celiac disease as a young child.

Eventually I lost my cool with him. I told him that I wanted to go to a GI doctor to speak with him about this. Even then he was relunctant.

Finally he said that he would send me to a GI doctor.

As I was leaving one of his nurses walked out with me. She informed me that her son also has celiac disease. And luckily enough she did not think that I was crazy. She agreed with me on what I was telling the doctor and about everything that involves celiac disease.

I feel like this man insulted me by the way he was talking to me. I walked out of that office very upset. Is it normal for an uneducated doctor to speak to a patient that way about something he knows nothing about?
