New And Learning

This is all still very new to me and I know it will take some time for me to learn all of this. It has been scary to read all the posts and realize how much I will have to change my life style but I know I can do this. I have a wonderful husband and family that are supporting me and reading information along with me and that helps a great deal.

Hi, I was also recently diagnosed with Celiac. I am 60 yrs old. I have had ongoing digestive problems for over a year. They came to a full head this past month. I had a hernia surgery in Oct. I had a lumpectomy for BC this past July. so surgery and stress can bring it out also. i'm am dealing the best I can. I was hospitalized for 6 days recently for dehydration, it was then my Dr.s ran several tests, sm bowel series and biosies of my colon, esophagus and sm bowel, so I finally have a diagnosis. It will be hard to give up real pizza and Italian bread!

Oh wow you have gone through alot! The more I read about what Celiac can cause I get more nervous. I still have pain on my left side and back area so I am afraid they will find something else wrong. Praying though that they don't, hehehe.

I so know what you mean about the pizza, and I love Chinese food also, this will be a challenge.

I hope your healing ok and it is very nice to meet you :)
