New Business And New Glasses

Mosaics

My son bought the lawn mowing business. Well...my husband and I loaned him the money for it. He's been working hard already contacting customers, becoming acquainted with the equipment and getting it all ready to go, setting up his schedule, etc. I think he'll be going out to mow for the first time tomorrow. I'm excited for him since this will probably be a life-changing experience...I hope for the best. My husband and I made the concrete pads to bolt the gazebo supports on to. Hopefully, I can get that put together this week. I must say, my husband and I are not very good at pouring concrete. The pads aren't exactly attractive, definitely not smooth, and the bolts that we set in them are almost all loose. Hubby said we're going to have to put some epoxy down in the bolt holes to make sure they don't come out altogether. Not to worry though, my patio is going to look great anyway.I'm getting my kitchen remodeled in the next month or so. I have the new cabinets ordered and am just waiting on their arrival. In the meantime, I'm taking down my old valances and am probably going to retexture the walls and paint. This is such a long process. I've already been working a couple of months on getting everything chosen, designed, and ordered. I went to the appliance store today and bought a cooktop. It's a GE 5-burner, glass top with no knobs. I'm hoping it will be easier to clean than the Jenn-Air that I have now. I was pretty excited because I had been considering this cooktop for several months now and had priced it at Conn's, Fry's, and Home Depot. They all had it priced at about $1,500. Then I found it at an appliance store (that I thought was an expensive place) for $1,176. WooHoo! This is a big spending week. I had to get new glasses because my eyesight is getting old along with the rest of me. I got bifical progressive lens and I can't stand them (at least so far). Everything looks blurry. People tell me I'll get used to them, but I don't know...

As far as the progressive lenses - just point your noise at what you want to look at. You will get used to them faster that way. I wear trifocal progressives and that made it an easier adjustment. Good Luck. Armetta
