I have been gluten free for 5 months and i have been having problems with bad leg cramps. I have read some where that was cause of gluten free diets. Has anyone had that problem?

I have started taking magnesium, i read that it would help. It has a little. I still have leg cramps just not as bad.

I have read that you need to take vitamins if going gluten free. would like to know if and what anyone takes.

thanks

Keep taking the magnesium. It really is the only thing that works. Eat foods that are richer in it as opposed to vitamins as your body really does absorb it better from its whole food source. I like CALM brand magnesium citrate.

Well my husband been trying to find some stuff for my legs when a pharmacist at a cvs ask if he could help him and he told him what i was going through and the pharmacist told him his wife was going through the same and he had her take benadryl 2 capsules before bed.

I am trying this tonight. I get leg cramps every night, i get them on the side of the leg and that hurts the most. i get it in the feet and toes and calf of course them not to bad.

well the benadryl works. i also found cramp911 which i keep handy and works great on the cramps that i get on the side of my legs. I ran out of benadryl and use off brand and it did not work . only capsules or liquid works best.
