Hellllooooo!
Is anybody out there in blogland!?
Celiac.com Sponsor (A13):
I had a good gluten-free Thanksgiving. No gluten contamination. Last year I got something, still haven't figured out what it was, but it ruined my trip to see Cirque du Soliel.
Some of my family members brought some glutened foods, but I avoided them and all was A-OK. My sausage dressing was excellent this year. Remind myself next year to grind up part of the rice bread (brown and white rice) in the food processor a couple of days before and let it sit with the bag open to kind of dry out. Use one pound of sausage, one and a half Granny Smith apples, a bunch of onion and celery, plenty of thyme, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. Don't use too much chicken stock. Every bit of it was eaten. The turkey was picked clean by Friday night so I didn't have to contend with a lot of leftovers.
I only had 14 people this year because my oldest brother has moved to FL with his family. With kids in school and only getting two days off, it was too far to come. They might try to come for the X-mas holiday.
We went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on Friday after the shoppers returned home. My son bought a drum set. My husband got me a little under-the-counter TV/DVD/celiac disease/radio to go in my newly remodeled kitchen. I didn't go shopping...can't stand the crowds.
