A Company called NAMASTE

A TREMENDOUS BUY!:  About two years ago now we bought a gluten free spice cake mix from A Company called NAMASTE. At first it came in a brown paper lunch bag type of container, this past year it is in a box. The value is in the quantity. It makes two cakes, either "8 x 9" or 8" x 13". It tells you on the side of the box how to divide the mix if you are only wanting to make one cake. What is great about this product is it not only can make a cake, it can make a loaf or muffins. I added 1 Cup of shredded carrots and 1/2 Cup of dried cranberries to one baking of muffins. Another time I threw in a handful of nuts, pecans and walnuts. They all turned out great every time, and I guarantee you that you will not tell the difference between a regular carrot spice cake and this celiac Namaste. If you want to make the big pan for a special big cake, use the entire bag; be prepared that it makes a lot. If you are doing a Birthday cake for people who like a carrot spice cake this is the one. Just decorate it with cream cheese icing and you will not know the difference.  Pineapple was a problem because obviously I must not have drained off the liquid adequately, and I should likely have deleted the 1/3 Cup of water.  Have not found Namaste in Canada yet but will keep looking. You know how expensive a gluten free box of cake mix is, usually in the $7.00 range.  This Namaste Spice Cake Mix was only in the $5.00 range and makes twice the amount of the other cake mixes I have purchased.  By the time I have added healthy variations to this mix I have a wonderful breakfast muffin. The facility states it is free from allergens which are listed on the bottom of the box. Fourteen top allergens are listen as not in this product.
