Still a happy gluten camper

In case there was any doubt I'm pleased to report everything is fine. I've resumed a gluten containing diet and haven't experienced any issues. I mentioned my success to the people over at the Facebook Helminthic Therapy Support Group and they were all happy for me. One person said in the five years she's been hosting hookworms she's never considered consuming gluten. She's derived other benefits (remission from colitis) but she never took the step of trying gluten. Makes me think I'm braver than I thought!

Celiac.com Sponsor (A13):
No one knows what percentage of celiacs hosting hookworms become able to tolerate gluten without damaging their health, nor how long it takes or what's the average duration of protection, nor what would be the optimal number of hookworms to use. Surprisingly in 2023 these are all still unknowns. When you hear me talking about my experience I'm just one data point.

When I read the forums I note there are an awful lot of people experiencing a great deal of misery, just like I did. If every celiac on these board tried hookworms I do believe there would be a remarkable reduction in morbidity here, not just in people's ability to consume gluten, but all the food sensitivities, colitis and the myriad other immune related problems people are having. I do believe hookworms are supposed to be there in our gut for our immune systems to be complete. With my experience of being healthy again I just don't see any other answer as being reasonable.
