Oops I Did It Again

My menu yesterday was nothing new or sinfully worth getting sick over: gluten-free pancakes with berries (no syrup), leftover pot roast and veggies, and Tropicana Lemonade. The lemonade has "natural flavors" so maybe that's it? But I drank some earlier in the week and was fine. Oh well. I cooked it all myself. hmmm

I must admit sometimes I think I'm sensitive to the tapioca flour in some of the gluten-free baked items. Maybe it's the pancake griddle pan I refuse to get rid of because it's from Grandma and I don't want to admit it could be permanently contaminated with gluten from years ago.

SOOOOOO On the road again!

Getting sick always gives me the emotional fuel I need to go on a trek to the health food store with a gluten-free section 30 min. from my house. It's always a BIG ordeal and a BIG expense.

I know I'll feel good when I return with bags full of gluten-free pizza shells, sesame bagels, my favorite corn flakes, the beef stroganoff gluten-free hamburger helper thing I got last time, those AMAZING lemon wafer cookies, soup, corn pasta, etc. Still need to do a belated bday cake for myself, too. The tricky part is when my risktaker streak comes out and I get sidetracked by new items I see in surrounding aisles and overestimate my ability to read labels and get into the lemmetryit mode. We'll see if I can avoid that today.

Watching ice skating on TV has inspired me to try to work out some today, too. Although the American skaters haven't been doing all that well.

I think I'll treat myself with a Buttafinga or Muskateers bar. mmmmmmmmm

I've found that eating these treats after a glutening helps keep me from that FOOD FEAR mode I went into last summer, which got kinda scary for a few days there.
