Still Trying To Figure This "blog" Thing Out...lol

Well I am just starting my blog, not used to doing a diary everyday, but hey this might be fun.I am just back from Skagway, Alaska where we keep our boat and go fishing every weekend for shrimp, crab, salmon and halibut. Our freezer is full for the winter with fish, so have no excuse again for hitting the beef too much. It was so windy there this weekend, that we couldn't get out in the boat. Don't like those 5' seas. So we played wharf rat for Saturday, and decided to come home early this morning. Lots of work to be done around here.I am a long time Celiac, diagnosed years ago, but lived in denial for 99% of those years. I have been able to monitor my gluten intake enough to keep the tummy pains and the big "d" away, but still having problems with insomnia and low grade depression. So this week I started being extremely diligent about my gluten intake. Have a total of 6 days in with absolutely none. Want to see if my sleep improves.I have trouble finding gluten-free foods here in the North, as I live in a fairly small town with just one health food store, and they don't seem to stock many gluten-free products. I am new to the forum, and just love it. In the few days I have been on I have found so many lists of gluten-free foods, a lot of American brand names, but some universal as well. So this has been great.Must run...have work to do. Have to may hay (can we have hay...lol) while the sun shines.Deb
