Even after having heard my diatribe on celiac, why does everyone always ask if I "can" eat peanuts when they see me eat pad thai?

Why do people assume it's the WOMAN who strong-armed the man into getting married-AND having a wedding- and act shocked it could be reversed?

Why does it seem to me that more men in their late 30s have ticking clocks (don't want to be OLD dads- no football, etc.)?

Why do women REALLY still take nude photos in the age of Internet?

Why do parents talk "at" their children rather than TO or WITH them?

Why doesn't my brother cut the small mass of thick brown chest hair that sticks up from his T-shirt collar?

Why do people think women who wear make up are vain when they are wearing it FOR the people who look AT them?

Why do women who DON'T wear make-up think that people who are looking at them don't WISH they'd put concealer, mascara, and blush at LEAST? (Isn't it vain assuming you don't need make-up- your natural face is clear and pleasant to the those you affiliate with?)

Who thinks khaki pants for women are figure-flattering?

Why are men skeptical that I've done boxing workouts and ask how I make a fist-what would be the impetus to make THAT up?

Why do people tell me I'm LUCKY I didn't have children with my alcoholic ex, when it was all PLANNED(duh-heard of bc)?

Why do people claim to travel and in reality they go to Vegas once in a while?

Whose marriages are so enviable that married people ASSUME singles don't enjoy dating, they're suffering through it to find a spouse? Is it far-fetched to consider that some people, especially extroverts, might ENJOY dating and meeting people?
