Cinco De Mayo=si, Si, Si!
Manana is the annual work luncheon (early for Teacher Appreciation Day) that I can partake in! Lots of Mexican food is gluten-free and I just chow down and hope/pray that none of it is cross-contaminated or made from gluten-marinated stuff.

And TEQUILA is always gluten-free so maybe some of that after work!

"Are you going to faint?", asked the nurse repeatedly, wide-eyed, after measuring the top # on my blood pressure at 87. Mine is often low-- genetics, and I've never been able to donate blood- top # must be over 100...but it's funny to see someone panic over it.
I didn't faint, but I felt like I never fully recovered from the cold I had in March and the dr. had told me to come back if i didn't recover. My ear started really hurting the other day so I went to urgent care and they gave me antibiotics.
The weird part is that the male doctor- 40ish and married- asked about my divorce and whether I've had kids- since I only have 4 to 9 years left of childbearing... he said. Upon hearing that I don't want to be married, he launched into a diatribe about how beautiful I am and how I can have my pick of any men and that I'm just using men and I'm on a power trip and probably some of them aren't telling me that they are married and I'm inadvertently hurting families, etc. I told him that I never even kiss many of them, but he said my looks will soon fade and then where will I be and that I shouldn't date unless I want to get married and that I wasn't walking with the Lord and he gave me a booklet called Jesus Wants to Be Your Best Friend.
I respected him, but I have to wonder...would he be saying the same thing to a MAN who doesn't want to be married??
