Newbie To gluten-free

We recently found out my 14 year old stepdaughter has celiacs disease.

My goal is to find gluten-free recipes I can cook that will feed us all without breaking the bank to do it... or finding gluten-free foods similar to what we normally eat and making it normal for us and making her gluten-free portion separate. For example, spaghetti. I can make two pots, one regular and one with gluten-free pasta. To me that makes more sense and should be less expensive, hopefully.

Anyway, I am hoping to find out ways to save on our food budget and ways to feed everyone things they like and not limit the rest of the house because of her gluten-free diet but also not torture her with things she can't have.

This is a very in depth question, so first I have some questions: Have you looked at the advertisements on the gluten free web page? Also, do you have a Fred Meyer store in your neighorhood? Have you looked up what stores in your neighborhood carry gluten free products?

I would also have your daughter make a list of her favorite foods. Being the only admitting celiac in my house, I have found a way to cook for my family and myself at the same time that works pretty well.

Nope. No Meijer's close by. I have started looking for gluten-free products at my local stores. There isn't much, but there is some.
