Celiac.com 08/16/2024 - We get a lot of questions from celiac community members wondering about the gluten-free status of certain brands and products. One question we see a lot is about candy and candy bars. Specifically, are 3 Musketeers bars gluten-free and safe for people with celiac disease?

The short answer is yes. 3 Musketeers is a popular candy bar made by Mars Incorporated, and described by the company as: “described as “a delicious and indulgent treat that can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.”

    Celiac.com Sponsor (A12):
Mars confirms that 3 Musketeers is gluten-free, making it a safe choice for gluten-intolerant individuals. The allergens listed on the 3 Musketeers bars are egg, milk and soy ingredients—may contain peanuts.

3 Musketeers bars also appear on the celiac.com Halloween Safe and Forbidden Candy List

Per the 3 Musketeers website, 3 Musketeers ingredients include:

    • Milk Chocolate (Sugar, Chocolate, Cocoa Butter, Skim Milk, Lactose, Milkfat, Soy Lecithin), Sugar, Corn Syrup, Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil And/or Palm Oil, Less Than 2% – Cocoa Powder Processed With Alkali, Salt, Egg Whites, Artificial And Natural Flavors.

The gluten-free status applies to all varieties of 3 Musketeers, including:

    • 3 Musketeers
    • 3 Musketeers fun size

As always, read labels, and avoid gluten ingredients.
