Bakery on Main Cinnamon Raisin Gluten-Free Granola

Reviewed and edited by a celiac disease expert.

Bakery on Main’s Cinnamon Raisin granola is gluten-free and packed with an amazing 9 grams of fiber per serving—when they use “Fiber Power” on the front of their package they aren’t kidding.  They use certified gluten-free oats, which is great for celiacs who include oats in their diet.

Open Original Shared LinkThis gluten-free cereal tastes great—it is not too sweet, nor does it taste too strongly of cinnamon.  It is packed with raisins, which I love.  On top of this it is dairy, GMO, cholesterol and trans fat-free, and is low in sodium.  In summary, it is a great way to start your day!

I've tried several of the varieties in this brand, and they are without a doubt the best tasting granola of any brand that I have ever tried, including the many brands of glutenous granola that I tried before going gluten-free! Try it - you'll love it! Just must add that I have no connection whatsoever with this brand or any distribution or marketing of it.

In 1995 he launched the site that later became Celiac.com to help as many people as possible with celiac disease get diagnosed so they can begin to live happy, healthy gluten-free lives.  He is co-author of the book Cereal Killers, and founder and publisher of the (formerly paper) newsletter Journal of Gluten Sensitivity. In 1998 he founded The Gluten-Free Mall which he sold in 2014. Today I tried a product that many celiacs should appreciate—a delicious Raspberry Attune Gluten-Free Probiotic Chocolate Bar.  The amazing thing about these bars (they make several flavors, including Raspberry, Dark Chocolate and Chocolate Crisp) is that they contain five times the live cultures as yogurt, so they would be an especially important addition to anyone’s diet who has celiac disease.
The gluten-free bar was excellent, and it tasted like a very high-quality chocolate bar with small pieces of raspberry—an excellent combination of flavors.  Since it is made with 68% cacao it is likely packed with natural antioxidants as well as the added probiotics (in the form of Bifidobacterium Lactis HN019, Lactobacillius Acidophilus NCFM and Lactobacillius Casei LC-11).
    I would re...

    Konsyl's Gluten-Free Original Psyllium Fiber
Celiac.com 09/08/2011 - Adding fiber to your diet is important for a number of reasons, including dieting, lowering blood cholesterol, or managing or preventing diabetes or heart disease.  That being said, I recently came across psyllium fiber from Konsyl that is not only gluten-free, but also happens to be one of the most effective means of adding concentrated extra fiber to your diet.
I also appreciate the fact that Konsyl Original Psyllium Fiber doesn't contain artificial flavors or additives, and is also sugar-free.  When I first tried Konsyl I have to say that I was impressed with the purity of the ingredients in comparison to other brands that I've tried in the past.
Just after a light lunch I mixed up one teaspoon of Konsyl fiber with 8 ounces of water and drank it,...

    Hail Merry's Gluten-Free Blonde Macaroons
I was very surprised when I received a care package of Hail Merry's gluten-free blonde macaroons.  I absolutely love coconut and have always had bit of a sweet tooth, but in the past I haven't always had the best of luck with gluten-free macaroons.  Usually, I find macaroons to be way too sweet, high in fat and calories or the texture is just wrong.  Despite the charming packaging that contained these macaroons, I still had my doubts – but who am I kidding?  I love coconut!
Open Original Shared LinkWhen I took my first bite I noticed that the texture of these macaroons was soft, slightly chewy, but not overly sweet – I guess they read my mind about my usual complaints about most macaroons – they tasted great.  I found the size of each macaroon (just short of the size of a golf ball...

PB Crave Cookie Nookie Gluten-Free Peanut Butter
If you want peanut butter that has the consistency of a soda fountain milkshake—not too thick but not too thin—this is it.
I could not get enough of the Cookie Nookie flavor.  It has just the right amount of sweetness thanks to a lovely combination of sugar, honey, and vanilla.  For a great treat anytime, I highly recommend Cookie Nookie Gluten-Free Peanut Butter.  Just make sure the adults in your family keep their supply away from the kitchen pantry that is shared with the kids during the upcoming school holiday vacation!
