    Celiac.com 08/18/2023 - Campbell's has announced the addition of two gluten-free soups, Cream of Mushroom and Cream of Chicken, to their condensed soup line. 

    The new soup options are gluten-free versions of two of the brand's most popular flavors, and cater to the nearly one out of five Americans who avoid gluten. The new soups are formulated to offer an alternative ingredient choice for popular meals without compromising on taste and quality. Both soups are safe for people with celiac disease and gluten-sensitivity.

    Absolutely, more and better is most welcome!  I would LOVE to include any new items from Campbell Soup Company or any others, but as a reader of ingredient labels (no matter how tiny the print), I have to limit my choices to what I have learned is safe for me.  This site has taught me so very much about good, may be good (read labels) and not so good food choices.  I am most grateful to all the contributors and moderator(s),

    Understood, and many people may have other food intolerance or dietary issues like a low sodium diet that may make these new offerings still off limits, but I think it is important to keep in mind that their goal here was to make them 1) gluten-free; and 2) not change the taste, texture, or appearance when compared to the original versions. The original versions likely have exactly the same issues with sodium and other allergens, but they are just not gluten-free.

    It's just that for a major, long time industry leader, it's shameful that they have ignored the gluten free market. I feel the same way about Kellogg cereals. Kellogg doesn't have even a single gluten free cereal. You would think that at least Rice Krispies or corn flakes would be gluten free. Dah, corn, rice, but no, they added wheat elements to these cereals. I am very thankful to General Mills for Cheerios and the Chex gluten free cereal. It tells me there are companies out there that offer gluten free products that help us out

    Only if they have intolerance/sensitivity issues with soy. It is common but not all celiacs do by any means.

    Progressive has the most gluten free soups, with New England clam chowder, vegetable beef(2 of those), lentil, roasted lentil, tomato and basil creamy tomato, split pea, and maybe a few others. Campbell's are way behind the ball when it comes to gluten free offerings. Cream of chicken and mushroom? Are you kidding me!? Until they get serious about it, I won't be buying any Campbell's soups.

    In the USA soy would need to be declared on the ingredient label at the end like this: Contains: Soy

    Soy is gluten-free and safe for most people with celiac disease, although some have additional food sensitivities like soy, corn, oats, etc.
