Celiac.com 10/30/2021 - We get a lot of questions from celiac community members wondering if certain products are gluten-free. One question we see a lot is about soap, specifically, Dial soap. Is Dial soap gluten-free and safe for people with celiac disease?

The short answer is yes. While Dial soaps are not labeled gluten-free, none of their soaps are made with gluten-ingredients. For this reason their soaps, and body washes can be considered gluten-free and safe for people with celiac disease.

    Celiac.com Sponsor (A12):
According to Wikipedia, "Dial is an American brand of soap and body wash manufactured by Henkel, the American subsidiary of Henkel AG & Co. KGaA. It was the world's first antibacterial soap."

Nearly all top brands of soap are manufactured without known allergens, including gluten. That said, not all of them are labeled gluten-free.

A review of the Dial website shows that none of their bar soaps, hand soaps, or body washes contain gluten ingredients.

The following Dial soap products are made without gluten ingredients, list no gluten allergens on the label, and are considered safe for people with celiac disease:

Did You Know? Gluten in Cosmetics, Lotions and Makeup
Celiac.com 12/20/2019 - A recent site reminded me again to check my cosmetic drawer, or as my husband calls it, “my chemistry set". Have you researched your make-up ingredients for the possibility that some of those creams, powders, oils or gels contain gluten? I did this briefly about ten years ago, but I was lax with it because the ingredient lists were so small in size, in another language, or had some "weird" ingredients that I could not even pronounce, let alone find out if they contained gluten. Now we have the Gluten Free RN Web Site, and the author is working hard to separate the cosmetics into two separate areas “Safe for the Celiac,” and an area that covers products to avoid.
The Gluten Free RN answers a simple "Yes" to the query about whether these cosmetic products should be...

Sensitive to gluten, and facing difficulty in finding guaranteed gluten-free skin care products, Dr. Liia Ramachandra used her pharmaceutical background to found gluten-free cosmetics brand, EpiLynx.
After the Covid-19 pandemic shuttered her production facility, Ramachandra quickly retooled, and turned her efforts toward producing  gluten-free hand sanitizer.
Experts say most hand sanitizers do not contain gluten ingredients, are safe for those with gluten allergies. However, because many brands are not labeled gluten-free,...
