El Milagro, with locations in Chicago, Austin TX, and near Atlanta, sells tortilla chips which are marked "Gluten Free" (at least those around Chicago), and I've never had a problem with them.  Their corn tortillas, which do not bear a gluten free claim, seem to me (diagnosed celiac) to be safe.

I love Mexican food and the corn chips they give you when eating Mexican Food. Maybe I can get my own corn tortilla gluten free chips and dip them in the sauce. I don't think I can eat the sauce either since it's a histamine producer and I think that's where my Boop Pneumonia came from, not sure. Boop Pneumonia is deadly and rare and many die from the disease. My lungs were completely white with inflammation. I can't prove this, but I feel in the deep of my being that histamine foods caused my Boop Pneumonia. I really want these gluten free corn chips.

I would buy these snacks, but for the frying oil containing toxic residues. If it does not say extra-virgin, the oil is likely chemically extracted type.  The FDA does NOT require testing of residuals of hexane, defoaming agents, deodorizers or bleaches. Cottonseed is highest in herbicides since it is a textile crop.  I cannot avoid a diarrhea session after consuming canola, sunflower or safflower oil fried foods. Peanut and corn oils are the least problematic for me.

I agree Laura. I have to be super careful. I have 4 autoimmune diseases and it's not been an easy road to hoe. Microscopic Colitis, another autoimmune disease is messing with my blood sugar. Super highs that will surely put me 6 ft under. I may consider an operation on my gut. Going to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and weigh my options.
