Mr. Krispers Sour Cream & Onion Baked Rice Krisps (Gluten-Free)

Reviewed and edited by a celiac disease expert.
Mr. Krispers Sour Cream & Onion Baked Rice Krisps (Gluten-Free) -

Celiac.com 02/26/2010 - I tried Mr. Krispers Sour Cream & Onion Baked Rice Krisps, which are small and thin gluten-free crackers, and I must say that they are truly outstanding…I ate the whole 4.2 oz. bag and found myself licking my fingers after they were all gone.  It is really impossible to eat just one of these tasty little baked, gluten-free rice thins—actually if you can stop at half a bag your will power would be exponentially greater than mine was!

This product reminds me of sour cream & onion potato chips, but the nice thing about Mr. Krispers is that they are baked instead of fried, and the ingredients include brown rice flour, so you get 1 gram of fiber per serving (4% of the “Daily Value”), or if you are like me you would get 20% of your daily fiber by eating the whole bag.

My children also loved Mr. Krispers Sour Cream & Onion Baked Gluten-Free Rice Krisps, and they would make an outstanding addition to their lunch boxes.  They would also be a hit at any party of other social gathering—just be sure to have dozens of bags on hand because your guests won’t be able to stop eating them!

There is no skimping on ingredients or quality when it comes to Brookfarm’s Gluten-Free Macadamia Muesli.  This muesli is a true medley of gluten-free grains, and it includes buckwheat, brown rice, and amaranth—but there’s more…it also contains macadamia nuts, cranberries, raisins, soy flour and pumpkin kernels.
Upon opening the bag, I immediately noticed an array of colors from this amazing variety of grains, nuts, seeds and fruit.  It was a pleasant surprise to see that they were using buckwheat, brown rice and amaranth as their main gluten-free grains, probably due to their outstanding nutritional benefits, including their high fiber content.  Likewise, macadamia nuts have been shown in studies to reduce bad cholesterol, and increase good cholesterol, so I always try to find way t...

    GlutenOut Gluten-Free Ravioli
Celiac.com 09/09/2010 - Italy's gluten-free ravioli delivered to your home? I recently had the pleasure of trying gluten free ravioli made by GlutenOut. I am no Italian chef, but these gluten free ravioli couldn't be any easier to cook. Just 3-4 minutes in boiling water, add a little gluten free sauce and I experienced the best tasting gluten free ravioli within minutes. They held together beautifully and tasted amazing and no wonder Italy is known for its pasta!  My only complaint is that my entire family - even those who are not gluten-free ate them up, so they didn't last very long.

Celiac.com 10/15/2010 - I just received a copy of Living Without’s Gluten-Free Holiday Guide and am very impressed with both the quality and the content of the magazine.  This special holiday issue contains cooking tips as well as gluten and casein-free recipes that cover Thanksgiving, Christmas dinner, and New Year’s.  It also has a nice section on how to successfully entertain guests over the holidays who might have food allergies or celiac disease, and another that covers allergy-friendly gift ideas.
This magazine was a first for those with food allergies or gluten sensitivity, and I am very impressed with how it has evolved over the years into such a comprehensive publication.
