Shaklee Optiflora Prebiotic and Probiotic Complex System for Intestinal Health

Reviewed and edited by a celiac disease expert.
Shaklee Optiflora Prebiotic and Probiotic Complex System for Intestinal Health - Gluten-free prebiotics and probiotics are a must for celiacs.
Caption: Gluten-free prebiotics and probiotics are a must for celiacs.

I have been taking probiotic supplements for a long time, but nothing has worked as well for me as Shaklee Optiflora Two-Product System with Prebiotic & Probiotic. Every since I started Shaklee's gluten-free prebiotics and probiotics I feel so much different--I feel like I have more energy.

This is a high quality system that is designed to provide needed support for our digestive tracts.  According to Shaklee the Optiflora Probiotic Complex uses a "patented triple layer encapsulation technology to protect live probiotics and guarantee their delivery into the intestine,"  which can enhance energy levels and provide excellent support for our bodies.

    Celiac.com Sponsor (A12):
Shaklee Optiflora Probiotic Complex contains bifidus and acidophilus, which support long-term intestinal and colon health. For those with celiac disease or other digestive issues high quality probiotics like these are a must.

Shaklee Optiflora Prebiotic Complex is intended to provide a welcome environment for the friendly, beneficial bacteria that live and work in the colon.

Due to the positive response my body has had to these products I plan to continue taking them long term.

I've been taking these lately, but only on occasion since I wanted to make them last. I wonder if I should be taking them daily or if it really doesn't matter.

I'm also a big fan of Shaklee's Cinch Vanilla meal shakes. And when I had to go gluten free this year, I was pleased to find that Shaklee labels their gluten free products. In fact, only 6 of their vitamins contain gluten.

I fought low blood sugar and brain fog for years before going gluten-free by using their shakes and Cinch meal bars. Their websites are so informative and I have fond memories of my mother listening to testimonies on Shaklee tapes and the rationale behind supplementation. Just cannot say enough good about this company!

After many years of unexplained medical issues, I was finally diagnosed with celiac disease in 2002.  The first couple of years were a rough road traveled, but I am feeling better than I ever have.  It is important that I share what I have learned over the years with others and to do my part to help raise awareness of celiac disease.

JD's Best Microwave or Ovenbake Personal Gluten-Free Pizza
Celiac.com 11/04/2011 - I had to do a double take when I saw a that JD's Best made a gluten-free microwave or oven baked personal sized pizza!  How in the world can they make a gluten-free microwavable pizza? I was a bit skeptical since it is hard enough to find a gluten-free pizza that I can pop in the oven and fully enjoy, let a lone one that I could microwave.  I decided to give JD's Best Microwave/Ovenbake Personal Gluten-Free Pizza a try – one from the microwave and one from the oven.
Included in their packaging was a silver disk that is used to crisp the crust for those who choose the microwave method.  After 15 minutes the oven pizza was ready, compared to only 2.5 minutes for the microwave version.  Both pizzas had ample sauce (which is usually one of my biggest complaints about...

Amy's Broccoli & Cheddar Bake made with Gluten-Free Rice Pasta
Who said gluten-free frozen foods never taste good and fresh? When I had my first bite of Amy's Broccoli and Cheddar Bake I could not believe that it was a frozen product. The tender rice pasta was coated with a creamy, aged English cheddar sauce, and the green organic broccoli tasted very fresh and crisp, and it was a very healthy addition. This product is not only gluten-free, but is also high in protein, vitamin A, C, calcium, and good source of iron, so it's very nutritious.

Kays Naturals Gluten-Free Almond Delight Protein Puffs
I just tried Kay's Naturals Gluten-free Almond Delight Protein Puffs and I have to say that they were not a disappointment.
Open Original Shared LinkWith only 115 calories, 12 grams of protein and 2.5 grams of fat (no trans fats) per serving, I was a bit skeptical, but this crunchy snack kept me satisfied between meals--guilt free!  I love that it is made with real almond meal and almond butter because I just despise any artificial flavorings.  These little puffs are packaged in individual serving sized bags, which are not only convenient but they help keep the flavors and textures fresh.
