Celiac.com 06/26/2023 - Take some of the stress out of back-to-school lunch for your gluten-free kids. When you pack a sandwich on Little Northern Bakehouse White Wide Slice bread, you’re giving them a lunch with all the joy of the real thing—gluten-free AND allergy-friendly.

With its fluffy, kid-friendly texture and sizeable slices made with sandwich-making in mind, White Wide Slice proves going without gluten doesn’t mean giving up great taste or settling for a smaller slice.

But don’t let that softness fool you. Where the dust-dry breads in the not-so-distant gluten-free history books crumbled like chalk under pressure and failed to support the simplest fillings, Little Northern Bakehouse White Wide Slice loaf aces every school lunch test.

These tender slices have the strength to stand up to serious sandwich stacking—or a vigorous bounce around the playground inside your kid’s backpack before the morning bell! (And the substance to satisfy triple-decker teenage appetites, too).

On top of being deliciously gluten-free, our White Wide Slice bread is plant-based, Non-GMO Project Verified, and allergy-friendly. With no peanuts, tree-nuts, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, coconut, or sesame, these school-safe slices are perfect for building packable lunches that appeal to kids, picky preteens, and grown-ups alike.

School can be tough for gluten-free kids and kids with food allergies—and their parents, too. When you pack a nut-free butter and jam sandwich made with Wide White Slice, you’re giving your kids a lunch that looks (and tastes) just like their friends’ and classmates’ lunches.

And that means they can enjoy a moment of freedom to just be a regular kid with a non-weird lunch. And you can send a lunch box love note they can read no matter what grade they’re in.

Helping you take the stress out of back-to-school lunch for you and your kids doesn’t end with our gluten-free, allergy-friendly White Wide Slice bread. LittleNorthernBakehouse.com has a library full of recipes, sandwich-packing tips, lunchbox inspiration—and ideas for breakfast, after-school snacks, weeknight dinners, and dessert, too!

So, whether you’re packing the first lunch of the school year, or you’re serving strawberry jam on spotlessly white bread for a teddy bear picnic playdate, Little Northern Bakehouse has you covered.

    Guest Fantastic Bread!

    Posted

I recently went to a restaurant and had a reuben on this bread and it was awesome! Even though the sauerkraut and Russian dressing add moisture to a reuben, the bread stayed together and was delicious! I asked our server if she could find out what kind of bread they used, and she happily told me and said many people had asked about it.

I will definitely check my local WalMart to see if they carry it!

Their products may be gluten free but they are not corn free for those who must avoid corn.  So it's a no-go for me.

This bread line is my family’s new favorite.  Best of all, no Xanthan gum which means I can eat it too!  I had a delicious grill cheese sandwich with sliced tomatoes (fresh from my garden) for lunch today.

    Gluten-Free Grocery Store Bread Reviewed
Celiac.com 11/17/2015 - For most people, when they think of gluten, the first thing that comes to mind is bread. And for most people with celiac or a gluten sensitivity, that is what we miss most.
While people with celiac or gluten sensitivity may never be able to experience the wide selection or soft texture that "glutenous" bread offers, there are still some tasty gluten-free bread options available at most grocery stores. In order to find the best gluten-free bread options, I went to my local Giant Eagle and tried all of the gluten-free bread available and explored four main aspects: taste, texture, price, and variety.
The three brands of gluten-free bread offered at Giant Eagle were Schar, Udi's, and Goodbye Gluten.
In the variety category, Udi's offered the largest selection...

GliadinX AN-PEP Enzymes Break Down Gluten in the Gut - A Product Review
GliadinX is a dietary supplement with the highest concentration of AN-PEP, Prolyl Endopeptidase (Aspergillus Niger), the most effective enzyme proven to break down gluten in the stomach. This high potency enzyme formulation is specifically designed to break down gliadin, and unlike other enzyme formulas that claim to do the same, there is a growing body of research that backs up the effectiveness of GliadinX (see Sources below).
GliadinX does not prevent and is not a cure for celiac disease, however, extensive scientific research has been conducted at multiple medical centers which has shown that it effectively breaks down gliadin into small, harmless fragments before it can reach the small intestine. GliadinX is perfect for celiacs who still want to eat outside of their home, and...

Alice's Sweet Tooth French Meringue Kisses - A Product Review
Celiac.com 11/16/2018 - Who doesn't love a perfectly made French meringue? And perfect is the only way to describe Alice's Sweet Tooth French Meringue Kisses!
Alice's Sweet Tooth creates an amazing assortment of naturally gluten-free kiss-sized meringues, including blueberry, raspberry, mango, chocolate chip, vanilla bean and cocoa. Each variety exactly captures its essence, the blueberry flavor explodes with the taste of fresh blueberries, the mango flavor tastes like fresh mangoes...and the raspberry flavor tastes like real raspberries, right down to the slight tartness that all raspberries have.
These meringues will melt in your mouth...there is just no need to bite them...just pop one in your mouth and let it melt on your tongue! If your plan is to only eat one or two...

Now Find Gluten Free – A Product Review
Celiac.com 11/02/2018 - I recently downloaded Now Find Gluten Free, which is a free app that is available in the Apple iTunes Store, and it can also be downloaded for other platforms in the Google Play Store.
One thing about the app that was immediately noticeable was its simple, user-friendly interface.  From the home page one can browse “All Products,” or browse by “Brands” or “Categories,” and there are even “Fresh Goods” and “Coupons” areas so you can quickly find fresh items and get great deals on many items.
At the top of the screen is a search box so you can search all products to quickly find exactly what you are looking for. I searched for “pancake” and was impressed by the large number of gluten-free pancake mixes that were displayed, broken down neatly in alphabetic...
