    Scott Adams

Scott Adams was diagnosed with celiac disease in 1994, and, due to the nearly total lack of information available at that time, was forced to become an expert on the disease in order to recover. In 1995 he launched the site that later became Celiac.com to help as many people as possible with celiac disease get diagnosed so they can begin to live happy, healthy gluten-free lives.  He is co-author of the book Cereal Killers, and founder and publisher of the (formerly paper) newsletter Journal of Gluten Sensitivity. In 1998 he founded The Gluten-Free Mall which he sold in 2014. Celiac.com does not sell any products, and is 100% advertiser supported.

Celiac.com 01/31/2005 - SEOs (Search Engine Optimizers) are having a contest to see who will rank #1 in Google for the nonsense phrase "V7ndotcom elursrebmem" on May 15th, 2006 with a first prize of $7,000 and a 30 GByte iPod. With that much money at stake, SEOs world-wide are using all of their bags of tricks and strategies (including some nefarious black hat techniques) to "convince" Google that their web site should rank #1. But one underdog web site is giving these seasoned professionals one heck of a run for the money and trying to win that prize money for a good cause. Open Original Shared Link will donate all contest winnings directly to charity -- specifically, the University of Maryland Center for Celiac Research (CFCR). And with a groundswell of interest, it just might...

Yes, it is the holiday season, and back online for 2010 are the Controllable Christmas Lights for Celiac Disease: Open Original Shared Link
Once again, three live webcams and X10 technology allows web surfers to not only view the action, but also *control* 20,000+ lights. New this year is the Santa Plane, Santa Helicopter, and even Santa Skiing down my roof ... which can all be inflated/deflated in addition to the giant 12' Santa, 15' Santa Balloon, Elmo, Frosty Family, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Homer Simpson - D'OH!
The website is totally free (and totally fun) and is one of my zany ways of raising awareness & soliciting donations for Celiac Disease - Open Original Shared Link - my two sons have this condition, so it's personal for me. If folks are so inclined, you can make ...

Celiac.com 09/16/2013 - Until recently, researchers thought celiac disease was mainly a problem in Northern Europe and Australasia, and uncommon in North America and the Middle East. However, with better data, researchers now regard celiac disease to be equally common in all these places.
Celiac disease is still generally seen as rare in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, but a team of researchers wanted to get a better idea of geographical differences and time trends in the frequency of celiac disease.
The research team included J. Y. Kang, A. H. Y. Kang, A. Green, K. A. Gwee, and K.Y. Ho. They are affiliated with the Department of Gastroenterology, St George's Hospital, London, UK, the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore, and with the Department of...
