    Jefferson Adams is Celiac.com's senior writer and Digital Content Director. He earned his B.A. and M.F.A. at Arizona State University.     Which Fast Food Outlets Offer the Best Gluten-Free Options?
    Celiac.com 02/04/2019 - With the rise in popularity of the gluten-free diet, and with more people being diagnosed with Celiac disease, more restaurants are offering gluten-free alternatives. While this is a great advancement, it’s important to note that not all gluten-free restaurant choices are created equal. Even if food is labelled “gluten-free,” the risk of cross-contamination could still be high, especially given the speed with which food is prepared.
    We see a lot of questions about gluten-free and gluten-safe fast food. One especially prominent question was “Is Burger King gluten-free?” The answer to that is that there is almost nothing gluten-free or gluten-safe at Burger King.
    There are far better options than Burger King in the otherwise bleak gluten-free landscape...

As a kid in the back of my dad's station wagon, fighting with my brother, feeling the wind whip my hair, stopping at all those dumb roadside attractions. When I didn't have to pee every five minutes and didn't have to worry about what I ate. Ah, the good old days!
    Those days are a distant memory. Since Mr. gallbladder went "kablooie" I have spent my life making sure I know where every bathroom is within a 20-mile radius. Adding gluten and dairy intolerance to the mix gives a whole new meaning to gotta go, gotta go, gotta go right now!
    Any time we would go visit my in-laws at their fabulous river house in Virginia, as soon as my hubby would say, "we are getting in the HOV lanes", my heart would drop with a sickening splash...

    Is Taco Bell Gluten-Free?
    Celiac.com 05/22/2021 - We get a lot of questions from celiac community members wondering if certain fast food restaurants are gluten-free, or have gluten-free options. We've shared information about the gluten-free options at McDonald's in Europe, and offered some other info on other fast food options.
    One question we see a lot is about Taco Bell. Is Taco Bell gluten-free? The short answer is no. Taco Bell does not specifically label any of its food gluten-free.
    However, while Taco Bell does not specifically label any of its food gluten-free, and they don't recommend it for people with celiac disease, they do have some dishes that contain no gluten ingredients, and they have a guide for how to eat Taco Bell while you are avoiding gluten.       I was wrong, however, about there being no particular health concerns associated with high total IGA: https://www.inspire.com/resources/chronic-disease/understanding-high-iga-levels-causes-impacts/ So maybe the physician's "borderline" remark is relevant to that.

      Sometimes that is the case but what is curious to me is the remark by your physician about being "borderline". I assume he was referring to the total IGA score but it just seems like an irrelevant remark when it is on the high side rather than being deficient.

      Hi, I’ve noticed that it usually takes me about 5-6 days to recover from a glutening. I was just thinking and maybe I’m going crazy. Long story but I wasn’t able to brush my teeth for a couple days after being glutened.
