On Saturday May 15, the Metro NYC Third Annual International Walk for Celiac Disease will take place. The Walk, which is being sponsored by the Westchester Celiac Sprue Support Group, will be held at Rockland Lake State Park along a 3-mile path is a beautiful wooded area.
This weekend, Walks will take place in more than 25 cities across the U.S. Please join us as we raise money and increase the public's awareness of Celaic Disease.
There will be plenty of gluten-free snacks and beverages. There will also be an information table full of resources especially helpful for newly-diagnosed Celiacs. You can learn all about the Gluten-Free Restaurant Awareness Program. A raffle will be held, with many great prizes. Commemorative T-shirts will be given to all participants.
Registration will be at 9:00 A.M, and the Walk will start at 10:00. Rockland Lake State park is located on Route 9W, in Congers, N.Y, three miles north of the Tappan Zee Bridge. Registration is $15 for adults and $10 for children. For a Registration Form, and directions to the Park, please reply to this e-mail.
Funds raised will be donated to the University of Maryland Celiac Center and to the Columbia University Center for Celiac Disease.
