Celiac Disease Foundation presents its Annual Education Conference & Food Faire Extraordinaire, Saturday, May 19, 2007, 8:30 am to 4 pm, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Angeles, CA. Registration includes a continental gluten free breakfast, lunch and beer tasting.
This year's program has something for everyone. From the future of enzyme therapy to genetic testing; the connection between our teeth and mouth and celiac disease, the latest on what is "gluten-free" to how to cope with being celiac. Our distinguished speakers include: Chaitan Khosla, PhD, research scientist; Andrea Levario,
J. D., Director, American Celiac Disease Alliance, Ted Malahias, DDS, Richard Ottenstein, PhD, psychologist; Annette Taylor, PhD., and presenting A TASTE OF GLUTEN-FREE, demonstrations and food tasting by Glutenfreeda, Lee Tobin, Whole Foods GlutenFree Bakehouse and Anna Sobaski from Gluten Evolution.
In addition, there will be a supervised children's program for children 5 and older and lunch time sessions with Alicia Calvo, RD, child psychologist Monica Shahbaznia Alvarez, PhD and Newbie's and Young Adults.
Michelle Pietzak, MD, "The Gluten-Fee MD" will have her two audio celiac disease set and newly released DVD available for sale.
