Event created by Scott Adams
The SnoJingCeliac Support Group will reconvene on Tuesday, December 12, 2006
at 7pm in Conference Room A, Group Health Northshore (Bothell, WA) Clinic.
For more info, call 206-527-6678.
INTRODUCTIONS: Introduce yourself and briefly state how long you have been
gluten free. If you are new, please share what you would like to learn from our
group meetings. If you are a regular member, please share one tip for
surviving the holidays with gluten intolerance.
SNOWY WEATHER CANCELS OUR MEETING: If weather makes local roads slippery or
icy, I will email all internet members the day of the meeting to announce
cancellation. I will call the half dozen or so members who don’t use email.
Check your inbox or phone messages before meetings.
DR. WANGEN’S 2 SUPPORT GROUPS MERGED: The IBS Treatment Center now hosts one
monthly support group meeting (open to the public) on the first Tuesday of
every month from 6:30-7:45PM. For more information, please call 206-264-1111.
HOLIDAY COOKY EXCHANGE: Bring 1-2 dozen of your favorite holiday cookies
with 15-20 copies of the recipe. Members with other food allergies or
sensitivities need to see the ingredients. Other members may want to try your recipe.
Also bring plastic sandwich bags or napkins to take cookies with you, unless
you plan to eat MANY cookies before you leave!
2007 MEETING NOTIFICATION CHANGES: I can no longer send snail mail meeting
agenda letters. To remind yourself of future meetings, please consider writing
on 2nd Tuesdays of each month of your calendar that the SnoKingCeliac Support
Group meets from 7-8:30pm. I will email a short monthly meeting notice,
which won’t include meeting agenda info. I will provide an agenda topic list for
members at our meetings. If you would like a monthly newsletter or minutes of
our meetings, please consider volunteering to write and email those to
everyone.
IF ANYONE HAS OTHER NEWS, PLEASE SHARE BEFORE OUR DISCUSSION TOPIC:
2007 MEETING AGENDAS: Please consider what speakers, discussions,
demonstrations and other meeting agendas, you would like at our 2007 group meetings.
Which of those ideas will you take responsibility for implementing, such as
arranging for a speaker or demonstration or leading a discussion about your
topic? Would you like to prepare and bring gluten free goodies to our meetings
more often (beyond December)? Would you like to meet more often at celiac
friendly restaurants? Our meetings should feature what YOU want to see, hear or
discuss. Bring your ideas to share at our December meeting. Please be prepared
to implement YOUR ideas.
