Who: Open to the public.
Sponsors: Chesapeake General Hospital, Celiac Disease Foundation, The Binding Site and Prometheus Laboratory.
Why: Chesapeake Health understands the frustration many Celiacs experience waiting 10 or more years for diagnosis.
Goals: Increase awareness of Celiac Disease in Tidewater Virginia and Northeast North Carolina; Provide accurate educational material to friends and families with celiac disease.
How: Professional Speakers including Gastroenterologist, Dietician, Q & A with President of Chesapeake Tidewater Celiacs, a chapter of Celiac Disease Foundation, education, gluten-free foods, samples, prizes and more.
Additional: Monthly meetings of the Chesapeake Tidewater Celiacs, 3rd Thursdays, 6-7:30 PM, Lifestyle Center
