"How Food Allergies/Intolerances and Leaky Gut Develop" will be the topic presented by naturopathic gastroenterologist Dr. Kathleen Janel at October's Whidbey Island Gluten Intolerance Group Meeting. Location: Freeland Library Meeting Room Date: Tuesday, October 27th Time: 3:00pm Dr. Janel resides on South Whidbey and practices at her office in Mukilteo. Dr. Kathleen Janel is a board qualified, licensed physician providing comprehensive primary health care and the treatment of gastrointestinal disease. She earned her medical degree at Bastyr University in Seattle and her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of British Columbia. She successfully completed a four year residency in Family and Pediatric Medicine with Dr. Mary Bove, then specialized in Gastrointestinal Medicine while completing an Associate position in New England. She has been in practice for over a decade with adults and children of all ages and has been published in many books, articles, and interviews regarding the practice of medicine and the use of preventive therapeutics and principles.
