Accommodating Children with Special Dietary Needs in the School Nutrition Program
This Meeting is Free and Open to the Public
The initial diagnosis of celiac Disease can cause great apprehension for parents of school children.
Many questions and concerns arise regarding if a child's needs will be met in the school environment.
This lecture will address the process a parent should under take with school personnel after initial diagnosis and the legal expectations and limitations which should be expected.
Presenters include: Jean Chrostoski, Superintendent of Arcoal CUSD #306 and the District's school attorney, Mr. Brandon Wright of one of the leading school attorneys in Illinois (Miller, Tracy, Braun, Funk and Miller, ltd)
Children's Activities
While the lecture takes place, we will have tables set up for kids and a few fun activities for them to participate in.
