February is Heart Health Month!

We want to make sure that all of our GIG of Indy members know how to maintain a Gluten Free Diet

and enjoy the longest lives possible.

Learn how to stay heart healthy, and still eat delicious foods that are safely gluten free!

Lori Petrie, Registered Dietitian, will provide lots of help and insights on managing a healthy life

in every way -- both Heart Healthy & Gluten Free!

We will discuss the following topics, and much more:

• Good fats and bad fats ... how much or how little do we need?

• The impact of sugar on heart health

• Sodium … a hidden enemy in many gluten-free foods

• Dietary fiber, and how it can make you a much healthier person

• Plant "stanols & sterols": just what are they, and how can they lower your cholesterol?

Plus, be sure to bring your "gluten free" questions -- whether they are about heart health, or just about being gluten free in general. We always include time for open discussion and support for everyone, following the meeting presentation.
