The University of Maryland is hosting a conference on celiac disease on July 8th and 9th. The 8th of July is a professional day designed to increase awareness among health care professional on the prevalence, symptoms and treatment of celiac disease. The second day, July 9th is designed for people with celiac disease and giving them the opportunity to learn more about their treatment, what’s the latest research, what NIH is working on in the area of celiac disease, and time for people to ask the experts their questions directly. We are also hosting a fund raising banquet on Friday night, July 8th. We will have a gourmet gluten free menu, entertainment and a terrific silent action. Richard Gannon, NFL quarterback is among the special guest that evening.
