Event created by Scott Adams
The Gluten-Free Crusaders will host a cooking demonstration featuring Carol Jean Roberts on Sunday,
November 13 at 2:00 P.M. in the basement conference room of Regional Hospital of Jackson.
Roberts was diagnosed with celiac disease 21 years ago and has since developed Grandma
Whimsy's Cupboard, a company that produces a flour blend free from all common allergens. She also
has served as
teacher/consultant and done cooking demos at major celiac conferences and for celiac groups in the US
and Canada.
Roberts is relocating her company from Maryland to Clifton, near Savannah, TN. Future plans include
providing products to hospitals, nursing homes, Meals-on Wheels, Hospice, food banks, seniors, and
others who are home bound.
Samples will be available for tasting and products will be available for purchase at the meeting. Door
prizes from several companies and the newly revised "BASIC TRAINING MANUAL FOR
GLUTEN-FREE LIVING will be provided.
