It's not too late to sign up and participate in the 27th Rite Aid Cleveland
Marathon, 2 Person Marathon Relay or 10K and support the Center for Celiac
Research!
This is just a reminder that Marathon & 10K is scheduled for April 25th,
2004 8:00 AM.
All runners must pick up RUNNER NUMBER, ChampionChip, and goodie bag - or
LATE REGISTRATION - At the Galleria at Erieview located at 1301 E. 9th St.,
Cleveland, OH, on Friday, April 23rd from Noon until 7:00 PM or on Saturday,
April 24th from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
Then visit the Celiac Disease booth at the Health EXPO in the Galleria to
pick up your gluten-free goody bag and a special tank shirt that will help
to distinguish TEAM CELIAC from the other runners. This is a great
opportunity to raise awareness! If you have already officially registered,
please email Pam King with your tank shirt size at pking@peds.umaryland.edu
by April 5, 2004.

Location
The location of the 27th Cleveland Rite Aid and 10K is downtown Cleveland,
Ohio. The marathon route begins on E. 9th St. and St. Clair. For a

Pledges
Runners signing up to participate in the 27th Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon &
10K have the opportunity to take part in a training program to raise money
to help benefit research and raise awareness of celiac disease. Participants
can visit, www.celiaccenter.org/marathon.asp to obtain a PDF version of the
marathon pledge form. Family and friends can also donate pledges on line,
by phone, or by remitting pledges to the Center for Celiac Research, 22
South Greene St. Box 140, Baltimore, MD 21201 Attn: Pam King
All checks should be made payable to the UMB foundation CFCR. Please turn in
all remaining pledges on race day at the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon EXPO
Celiac Disease booth. Non-participants can also make donations to the
Center for Celiac Research at our website or on race day at the Celiac
booth.
Training
Participants can join the training program that is led by marathon training
expert Kara L. Kelly-Sharp. Coach Kara offers several programs and
excellent sources to prepare you for your Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon
experience. Coach Kara Kara@run-insight.com is the Founder and coach of the
Second Sole Marathon Training Group. She is a veteran distance runner,
including over 25 marathons, including 6 Boston Marathons. Kara blends her
running experience, along with her knowledge as a registered nurse and an
exercise physiologist, to design comprehensive training plans. She also
provides information regarding: proper nutrition, hydration, heart-rate
training, injury prevention, and mental preparation. Participants from
anywhere in the country can get involved by using the provided on-line

training in person with the Second Sole Training Group. If you would like
