The next Stanford event is a gluten free bake sale on Sunday,
April 18 at Global Blends Coffee Shop in Mountain View.
Sale begins at 10AM and will last until all products are sold.
Global Blends is located at 650 Castro Street in Mountain View
(not far from Starbucks), phone 650-254-1110, map found at
http://www.mountainviewca.net/.
Stop by for some freshly baked gluten free muffins, carrot cake,
cheesecake, chocolate desserts, cookies, and a cup of the excellent
coffee served at Global Blends. If you wish to pre-order something
special from our great volunteer bakers then let Kelly know and
we'll reserve it for you.
Proceeds from the bake sale and 20% of all the day's proceeds at
Global Blends will be donated to Celiac Sprue Research Foundation.
Global Blends is owned by Patsy Price, a celiac, who has carefully
chosen gluten free products to serve where possible. The following
items are gluten-free at Global Blends: coffee, tea, chai, elixir tonic, milk, soy
milk, smoothies, whipping cream, all sauces and syrups, chocolate
sprinkles for topping the coffees. All of the blended coffee drinks
and espresso drinks are also gluten free.
The Mountain View Farmers Market is also on Sunday morning
9AM-1PM, just off Castro near the railroad tracks, at the corner
of Hope and Evelyn in the parking lot across from the train station.
Natasha from Sweet Temptations, baker of healthy gluten-free cookies,
will be selling her products on April 18 and every other Sunday.
Her cookies are made with nut flour. You can find her in the
baked goods section of the market. If you get lost, call her on
her cell at 650-207-3470.
