Brilliant thought! Apparently Asians have spent much of their lives wheat/gluten free and they live rather long lives and although their biome may be somewhat different they seem to avoid the damage that Celiacs experience.- bifidobacteria

Did the withdrawal of wheat from the diet of the celiac group cause lack of complete gut biome healing or is there something inherent about celiac disease itself that prevents complete gut biome healing apart from anything to do with the absence of wheat in the diet? Good question. From my little knowledge.....there seems to be a problem in later years with the development of new strains of wheat etc. Also....as far as the immune system is concerned, it seems like the discovery of an immune system blocker for gluten might be a cure? It seems like I have read of a recent discovery of another blocker for immune system...- bifidobacteria
