Can These Be Signs Of Celiac?

I had excessive gas production immediately after eating and I feel very embarrassed by it. I also get subtly lightheaded almost everyday, so I was wondering if they could be caused by Celiac?

Thanks

Others around here have had gas as one of their symptoms, but I don't believe it is the only symptoms for them, i am not sure of that though. idid not have that symptom myself, I usually got bloated with gas.

I did get lightheaded often though. I think it was a hypoglycaemia of some sort, and I found it did improve with less grain consumption.

Best wishes.

Hey Sasha and welcome.  Most of us here have had very dramatic symptoms.

I would suggest that you keep a food diary and perhaps you could pin-point a food, or foods which may be causing you discomfort.

And you should make an appointment with your Primary Care Doctor and he can run some test.  MANY issues can effect the "gut".  Celiac requires a specific series of tests.  I will post them....

Thank you both. I haven't had access to the test results but will get them and post here.

The ulcers are prepyloric ulcers. Not sure if that makes any difference.

Duodenal ulcers are not uncommon either and often result from H.Pylori infections. https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/duodenal-ulcer

I had what was termed "lesions," and normally ulcers are in the stomach, rather than the small intestines. I'm not sure why they would want you to have her continue to eat gluten, since she had a positive blood test, but as her doctor said, if she is uncomfortable and having symptoms why not have her go gluten-free at this point? If her symptoms improve, it would be another indicator that she has celiac disease and/or gluten sensitivity. This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):
