Stomach Ache After Eating Certain Wheat Foods For An Hour

For years, I get a pretty immediate stomach ache after eating certain things like flour tortillas, certain branded bagels, certain branded English muffins.  It last about an hour then goes away.  Pretty uncomfortable.  They are easy to avoid.  On the other hand, I can eat other brands of baked goods and nothing happens.  Sarah Lee and Thomas' brands.  Just listing the companies to see if anyone else can identify.  Bakeries and home made products...no problem.

I'm guessing you do not have Celiac Disease? You may not get many others on here that can " relate" as we don't eat any gluten products.

Perhaps you should check the ingredients? See if there is a common one or two in the products that bother you but not in homemade?

Not sure what to make of your inquiry.

None of us can eat ANY wheat products.

Maybe you have a sensitivity to something in these foods. Take a look at the ingredient labels to see if there is any common ingredient in the foods causing you stomach aches. It could also simply be that foods like bagels and English muffins tend to be heavy and difficult to digest.

I have a similar experience. I actually logged on tonight to see if anyone ever experienced the same symptoms. I can eat certain foods and feel "okay" and other foods leave me in a lot of pain. I go back and forth with my gluten-free as I am not a celiac and just have an intolerance.

Thanks for the information and I also have issues with vitamin D.  Sick of being sick on everything.  Lol

Sorry if I was unclear, I was not talking about Disinfection lamps at all, the D in D lamp stands for vitamin D, not Disinfectant. These are vitamin D lamps that stimulate your own body to make vitamin D.

Thank you for the information. I did order/receive GliadinX to have on hand in the event of suspected exposure.

Just had a letter through from the Celiac team, they’ve diagnosed me through my bloods, no endoscopy/biopsy needed. I guess I’ll be sticking around on this forum and I’m sure I’ll be back soon. thanks for all your help
