has anyone had chronic pain in joints and muscles due to celiac disease? I thought I had an injury at work, was out almost a year because if it (neck, shoulder, wrist). No orthopedic/sprots medicine Dr. could really find anything that wrong with me, at least not consistent to the pain I was/am having. My "case" is over and all the Dr's say they've done all they can and that's it, but some days the pain is so bad, I don't know what to do. It also goes down my right leg (main saide of the pain) and the Dr's are telling me that has nothing to do with it.

Anyway, unpon research on this site, I figure something like this couldn't be out of the question and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this. A long shot, but worth a try.

Before I was diagnosed and a few months into the gluten-free diet, I had joint pain, which is a symptom of celiac disease. I had pain in my hip, knees, and ankles. The pain was the worst in my hip and knees and I would sometimes have trouble walking without limping. This improved within 3-4 months on the gluten free diet.

@CeliacPsycho246, You might try cutting out dairy.  Some of us react to Casein, the protein in dairy, the same as to gluten.

Yep, the edit window times out very quickly. It's okay. I got a good laugh out of it.

I hope you meant "pen pal" instead of "paypal".
