Can anyone recommend a hot cereal without rice or oats?

I like Cream of Buckwheat. I use Pocono brand. Has a texture like cream of wheat. They also make one that is in a Kasha form if you like more texture.

I make 3 different kinds or a combination, I either use coconut flour, almond flour, or konjac flour and heat it til it thickens into a porridge. I love how the low carb keto porridge is so filling but without any bloat from carbs. Look up recipes my favorite involves almond milk, coconut flour, almond butter, egg whites, cooked stirring constantly thickens up really nice then I finish off with a sugar free jelly or xylitol and cinnamon. >.> I can not have carbs or sugars so my meals are a bit unique.

I live in the south.... grits of course! Good with butter or cheese. Bacon too.

Hi! Yes I have, endoscopy didn’t show anything other than celiacs. I’ve been wondering if it’s possibly that my intestines are so damaged that the wine is irritating because they have not fully healed. Very odd, I felt better for a few weeks and then all the sudden started noticing the pain again after the weekends when I drink wine (don’t drink during the week). I’ve also heard that dull left side pain isn’t a common symptom with celiacs so my diagnosis was surprising to doctor as well though the pain did initially subside with gluten-free diet.

Welcome to the forum, @Celiacsugh! Have you been checked for a gastric or peptic ulcer?

@Juliana82, Is the bleeding occurring when you throw up?  Or with bowel movements?  Constipation?  Is it bright red or black and tarry?  Anal fissures?  Crohn's or Colitis?  Alcohol consumption?   Diabetes, Thiamine deficiency and anemia can cause false negatives.  Most diabetics are deficient in Thiamine.  Thiamine deficiency can also occur due to high calorie malnutrition, eating lots of carbohydrates but insufficient Thiamine from dietary sources.   The Gluten-Free Diet for Celiac Disease: Critical Insights to Better Understand Clinical Outcomes https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10537989/

Hi There! Recently diagnosed, have been gluten-free for 3 months. My main symptom at time of diagnosis was upper left dull side pain, burning, constant. After going gluten free it has improved dramatically, however I’ve noticed when I drink wine on the weekends the pain returns. Has anyone else experienced this?

In the US you don't need a referal to see a specialist if you are self pay. PPO you can go directly to any specialist or doctor you prefer. HMO you’ll choose a primary doctor to manage all your care. Pricing of the insurance will vary, as will prescriptions coverage.
