So has anyone looked at their profile recently? There's a new tab for Clubs! I want to join a club! Anyone know what clubs are and how we get in on the action?

Click on your name. That'll take you to your profile. Then see how there's a tab for Clubs on the right side.

Like Area clubs... want to start a cooking club, ketogenic/paleo club, and a DFW texas or central texas club

Perhaps a better approach. as many of us have to live in a gluten-free house and environment, would it not be great if some of us offered up say a "SAFE" guest room to other members traveling?  I mean think about it a club on here where we say the area we live in, the attractions around it, and our accommodations and lack of certain allergens/food issues in the house?   Scariest thing for travel for me is not knowing if I can live without getting sick by something in the environment. Wonder what we would call it...gluten free safe house listings? lol I could support 1 person maybe 2. My sanity and stress would be pushed to the limits with more then that and if more then 4-5 days. But yes a Air BNB like club for celiacs.

I wish I knew...;) Never done it...but try going here:

and click the "Start a Club Link"

I think they need moderator approval...just to prevent spammers...

It looks like it could be a neat new feature...just looking at it more. There could by clubs by country, city, etc.

Yeah I am starting a area support one first for people in Central Texas and DFW area. Might do some others later.

      But here's the thing. As long as the product in question tests out at less than 10ppm of gluten then the company can legitimately advertise it as certified gluten free according to GFCO standards. Here they claim their products have "No Gluten": https://www.kachava.com/ingredients . I suppose you could quibble with them over the verbiage that "No Gluten" is not the same as "Certified Gluten Free".

      Thanks so much for this post. I was actually thinking of purchasing it as they do advertise it as gluten-free on their website. But, I clearly had not scrutinized the label closely enough!

      There are some causes besides celiac disease for elevated tTG-IGA, such as cow's milk protein, some other bowel diseases, NSAIDs, a certain blood pressure med and parasitic infections but the chances of that being true are not very high compared to the cause being celiac disease. And even with CMP (Cow's Milk Protein) most of those cases involve people who already have celiac disease.

      Did you purchase it thinking it was gluten free? The company doesn't advertise it as such do they? Barley is not one of the eight main allergens that the FDA requires to be posted in the allergen info. Wheat is but not barley. But good catch. We don't see many products with barley and rye as ingredients and it is easy to get lazy, not really read the detailed ingredient list and to just go straight for the allergen list.
