I need an anti inflammatory gluten free brand. Or something like Tylenol. I am in pain and do not want to take heavy prescriptions. Anyone know what is gluten-free and if and how bad they are for digestion. Advil, Aleve, motrin or Tylenol. I know the NSAID's are the advil and aleve what do people prefer most. I know there are some of you out there with joint and bone pain.

Some of Target's generics for Tylenol, Advil and Aleve are labeled gluten free.

Jherm21,

I just posted a similar question in another forum topic that might answer some of your questions.

I realized now this might be the better thread for the topic but since I was seeking the research on the BP medicine Losartan I posted it there instead.

In short NSAIDs as well as some other medicines have been associated with GI issues.

Here is a good overview of  the NSAIDs question form the DailyMail.

I hope this is helpful.

I take Aleve or the generic that I get at Wegmans. I haven't had any issues with it and only need to take one for relief. I should note that it is not something I take on a daily basis. I usually only need it a couple times a month.

Is Aleve better than ibuprofen? My back pain doesn't budge with 800 mg Motrin.

It works much better for me but everyone is different.  I have a physical job and sometimes get lower back pain. A hot shower and an Aleve will usually relieve it. It's worth your giving it a try.

Maybe you should have your back checked by a doctor, if the pain is constant and is not improving.  You could be developing another AI issue like Ankylosing Spondylitis.  At least consider trying to find the cause (compressions fractures, slipped disk, whatever).

Oh, I did.... was referred to pt which hasn't helped at all. My muscles are super tight and they supposedly are causing the back pain. No idea what originally caused the problem but it started a couple years ago and has just gotten worse.

I wish you lived near here, I have the greatest massage therapist she does Swedish style, She can loosen up the stressed tight muscles wonderfully, I am prone to getting knots in my shoulders and neck, so I have to have them worked out once a month otherwise they start to limit mobility and hurt.

Thanks a lot! I will search that too. I also talked to another doctor and she assured me there is no gluten in this type of antibiotics. Anyway i started the administration of Augmentin on my girl this evening. I hope there will be no problems.

Good afternoon, I don’t know if anyone here has ever tried Braswell’s products like their marmalades or jellies? Are they gluten-free? On the ingredients says “cane sugar, cherries (cherries, cane sugar), strawberries, corn syrup, pectin and citric acid. That ingredient list is from their berry preserve bottle. Most of them say the same for ingredients, but I’m not sure if it is okay to consume.

I have seen this problem many times. I always get in touch with the company. Most times they tell me if I'm just gluten free it is ok, but do not eat it if you are celiac. Calling the company is the best way when you are not sure. Yesterday I had a different example of products being marked gluten-free.  I love chocolate and have a piece each day. The chocolate bar I like is Chocolove. When I bought one this week it was not marked gluten-free. I called the company to find out why and if it was still gluten-free.  Turns out the manufacturer decided there was too much on the wrapper and took off the gluten-free label. It is made in a dedicated gluten-free facility.
