Holiday Sales

Ennis-TX

I am more stressed about what sales will be out on cyber Monday and black Friday then the actual thanksgiving holidays lol. Cooking is just cooking, I do it daily, just doing more and some special dishes. NOW once a year sales on products I use daily like supplements, spices, foods, flours, etc....now that has me stressed. Like I have a limited budget but if I get them on these sales I save money for the next few months buying in bulk on sale......but then the stress of borrowing money and doing so....which purchases to make, what saves me the most in the long run, will it last me til the next sale...balancing all this out with a limited budget when your bad with numbers is scary/frustrating.

Damnest thing is I do not care for the specials on technology. vanity items, etc. I am just focusing on essentials and stuff I use or would use daily to improve my life and make savings in the long run. I think the only actual 2 items I am looking at is a charm for my mother for Christmas and a water filtration system for my kitchen. Other then that it is all food, supplements, spices, and medications lol.

OH another funny thought due to lack of orders, I am opting to go help cook a community dinner at a church for over 450 people. I already brought/opted in to bring my own spices, starches, etc for the areas to keep it safe for my stations and will be helping with the turkeys and serving up a bunch of gluten free/corn free desserts so I will be in a safe element for my health risk. Got 16 turkeys, 1 food service pan of gluten free pear cobbler, 1 pan of pumpkin chocolate brownies gluten free, pumpkin pies to pull out and do starting in the morning.

You are a nice person, Ennis, to do this for Thanksgiving!  If I were in Texas, I would feel safe eating your food and it sounds delicious! To have an allergy safe meal served in a church is a wonderful thing.  :)

Use with the above code at check out, the bars are alright and good for emergency meals, the protein powders are good I use the sancha inchi pegan in baked goods like gram crackers, the pegan vannila twist is one of my favorites. THEY also have BREAD that is low carb and gluten free, check it out great to avoid the carb/starch bloat or if you have blood sugar issues.

Watching a few others I will post on them later I think Lucky Vitamin should be having a huge cybermonday sale coming up, and Lorrann Oils who has all kinds of wonderful flavorings will be having a sale soon.

vitamin D levels in obsessive-compulsive disorder "The number of participants with vitamin D insufficient ... and vitamin D deficiency ... in the OCD group was statistically significantly higher than the control group... and also the number of participants whose vitamin D levels were in the normal range ... in the OCD group was statistically significantly lower than the control group." Low vitamin D iscommon in Celiac Disease patients. Also no lithium in drinking water (bottled water) or in areas with low ground water Lithium contributes to anxiety. Association between naturally occurring lithium in drinking water and suicide rates The EPA calculated a provisional oral reference dose (p-RfD) of 2 μg/kg-day using the Provisional Peer-Reviewed Toxicity Value   https://www.epa.gov/system/files/documents/2023-11/ucmr5-technical-fact-sheet-lithium-in-drinking-water.pdf Should we all take a bit of lithium?! Raising my vitamin D to 80 ng/ml and taking 5 mg a day of Lithium Orotate for a few month helped me.

After 3 months without gluten he will have healed and his blood tests will be negative. That does not mean "not celiac, ok to eat wheat, rye and barley again.  It does mean the diet is working.  Many of those recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease are often deficient in vitamin D and other vitamins and minerals.  It's a side effect called Malabsorption.  Get his blood checked for 25(OH)D level to be sure.

Yeah, but that's probably not where you want to eat, anyway.

Anyone try this? No matter what the brand, probiotics have ALWAYS made me break out bad. I am hesitant to try this simply for that fact, but I ordered a 3 month supply. Any input would be appreciated. Wish me luck.

@llisa, I am curious to know how much vitamin D you are taking and what is your plasma level in nmol/L or ng/ml what the doctor's target 25(OH)D is. Hopefully with the gluten free diet you'll be able to feel better.
