what vitamin D? how much?

My 7 year old's vit D is low (22)... she's been getting 400 IU in her daily multivitamin and I also give her 400 in baby Carlson's drops (when I remember...)

What supplements are safe and how much do you give to your kids?

Since vitamin D is one of those vitamins that can cause toxicity in large quantities over time, you should probably check with a doctor. That said, as an adult I have to take 4,000 IU per day, twice the recommended amount, for my levels to stay within normal (don't give her this much!).

      @CeliacPsycho246, You might try cutting out dairy.  Some of us react to Casein, the protein in dairy, the same as to gluten.
